Marks Point Public School, National Reconciliation Week
Today we celebrated National Reconciliation Week 2023. Students enjoyed a visit from Aunty Laurel who spoke about her history, the history of reconciliation and the importance of moving forward together. Students were dressed in yellow and raised $112 for Children’s Ground.
Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2023 is Be a Voice for Generations.
This means carrying on the work of those who came before us and using our power, our words, and our actions to create a better, more just Australia for generations to come.
How will you be a Voice for Generations?
