National Reconciliation Week 2024
Marks Point Public School celebrated National Reconciliation Week by participating in a whole-school assembly. Students listened to our special guest, Shannon Mallison, Acting Director Yarpa (NSW Land Council), performed the great reconciliation anthem Blackfella/Whitefella and wore yellow to raise money for Children’s Ground.
We shared Children’s Ground ‘s important vision with our school community, so that our next generation of children know and celebrate their culture and identity, have freedom of choice and expression and can live with opportunity, peace, harmony and wellbeing.
The 2024 National Reconciliation Week theme is a reminder to us all that ‘Now More Than Ever’, we need connection, we need change, and we need reconciliation.
